I’ve finally gotten around to many overdue updates to the site overall, I know I’ve missed quite a few, but I’m working hard at making sure everything has the most current information possible. We’re finally here at the end of the year, and the last show of the year, The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian’s Art Market in New York, NY. I’m really excited for this show, it’s been a couple of years since I’ve attended, and they’ve named me as a “Featured Artist” for the show, I’m honored, and can’t wait for what’s to come. Richard I. Chavez never sought recognition for his work when starting his career as a lapidary artist in 1976. His thoughts were first and foremost of making a better life for his family.
